Effy Vayena is Professor of Bioethics at ETH Zurich and, since January 2026, Vice President for Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations on the ETH Zurich Executive Board. As a leading expert on the ethical governance of emerging technologies in public and personal health, including genomics and AI, she has worked extensively with the World Health Organization, co-chairing its expert group on AI in health, and serves as an advisor to governments and international organizations on health ethics and technology governance.
