Nikos Moustakidis

Head of Research & Documentation in Government Foresight | Data Scientist & Foresight Specialist | Evidence-Based Policy Expert

Nikos Moustakidis is the Head of Research and Documentation at the Special Secretariat of Foresight at the Presidency of the Hellenic Government. As a data scientist and foresight specialist, he has spent more than a decade applying statistical models, analytics, and evidence-based approaches to complex policy and organizational challenges. He has also developed training toolkits for foresight and teaches at the National School of Public Administration and Local Government (ESDDA). In the past, he has worked as a senior researcher and project manager for the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, the Centre for Security Studies (KEMEA), and as a data scientist for the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), where he developed and stress-tested risk assessment and evaluation frameworks. His interests include data analytics, artificial intelligence, strategic foresight, risk assessment, and evidence-based policy and decision-making. He is part of international networks of practitioners, including the OECD, the European Commission’s Joint Research Center, and has participated in international initiatives on government analytics, including a fellowship program by the World Bank.
