Carmina-Ruxandra Ion is a European Affairs Policy Officer specializing in AI regulation, ethics, and digital governance. As part of Romania’s working group on AI regulation, she collaborated with EU institutions and represented Romania at the OECD Working Party on AI Governance. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. on AI ethics and regulation, she focuses on the intersection of AI governance, fundamental rights, and the ethical challenges of emerging technologies. Her research explores the limits of AI’s role in human life, the implications of AI decision-making, and how regulatory frameworks can balance innovation with accountability and responsibility.
