Graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, holding an LL.M. in European Union Law from the University of Essex and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management of Environment, Disasters and Crises from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Served as Mayor of Lagadas for three terms (2003–2006, 2007–2010, 2014–2019), President of the Association of Municipalities with Thermal Springs of Greece (2014–2019), and Second Vice President of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) (2014–2019). From 2020 to 2023, served as General Director of KEDE. Acted as Expert Coordinator for the transfer of know-how between the Ministries of Interior of Greece and Cyprus regarding the implementation of Local Government Reform in Cyprus, under the Cooperation Memorandum signed on 19 October 2022. Currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of IDIKA S.A. (Electronic Governance of Social Security S.A.).
