The Sustainability-Energy & Defence Hackathon is a three-day innovation challenge taking place as part of BEYOND 2026, the largest technology and entrepreneurship exhibition in Southeastern Europe, in collaboration with ACE.

The initiative is addressed to teams developing solutions in the fields of sustainable energy and defence technology. Through collaborative work, mentorship, and networking opportunities with investors and industry leaders, participants will have the chance to develop, test, and present their ideas in a real-world environment.

Verticals

  • Sustainability & Energy
    Solutions focused on the energy transition, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and the circular economy.
  • Defence Technology
    Innovative applications in defence technology, security, and dual-use technologies.

Winning Team Prize

Participation in the Creative Business Cup (CBC) Final 2026 in Copenhagen, including flight and accommodation coverage for one team member.

Depending on the team’s profile, participation will include:

  • CBC with TechBBQ (26–27 August, 10,000 participants) — for Createch startups
  • CBC with Impact Festival (11–12 September, 3,000 participants) — for impact-focused startups
