Artificial Intelligence and High Technology Take Center Stage at the 6th BEYOND

BEYOND 2026 Opens Its Doors at Metropolitan Expo

Against the backdrop of a global economy being rapidly reshaped by artificial intelligence and digital transformation, the 6th BEYOND International Exhibition of Digital Technology and Innovation officially opened yesterday at Metropolitan Expo in Athens. Running from 17 to 19 June, BEYOND is organized by DETH-HELEXPO, Be Best, and Industry Disruptors Game Changers.

Held under the theme “BEYOND FRACTURES. Where Innovation Meets the Real Market,” this year’s edition explores the digital, technological and geopolitical challenges that are redefining the global innovation landscape. Reflecting its growing international reach, the exhibition brings together more than 300 exhibitors from 11 countries—including Slovakia, Cyprus, Belgium, Germany, France and Hong Kong—alongside approximately 100 startups showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

The official opening ceremony took place yesterday in the presence of government officials, institutional representatives and key stakeholders from the business and technology ecosystem. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance, Mr Christos Dermentzopoulos, who reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting internationally oriented initiatives such as BEYOND, with the ambition of establishing the exhibition as a leading technology event not only for Greece but for the wider Southeast European region.

Mr Stratos Simopoulos, Member of Parliament for Thessaloniki A and Chairman of the Hellenic Parliament’s Standing Committee on Research and Technology, highlighted BEYOND’s growing contribution to technological advancement and the evolving geopolitical landscape. He also emphasized the importance of strong public-private collaboration in accelerating the digital transformation of the Greek economy.

Speaking on behalf of the organizers, Mr Andreas Mavrommatis, CEO of DETH-HELEXPO, outlined the exhibition’s international growth strategy, while Mr Evangelos Charalambous, Managing Director of Be Best, focused on the importance of transforming innovation into tangible business opportunities and sustainable economic growth.
