Professor Christos Tarantilis has over 20 years of leadership experience across diverse roles and settings: in academia as Professor and Chair of the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB); in politics as a national-list Member of Parliament, Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, and Chair of the Hellenic Parliament’s Committee on Research and Technology; and in the private sector as a partner and the Head of the Government and Infrastructure sector both in Greece and in the Southern region of Europe Central at the multinational professional services firm EY (Ernst & Young). He has also served as a member of the boards of directors of Greek organizations. For the past six years he has been listed annually by Stanford’s professors among the world’s top scientists (top 2%) in operational research and artificial intelligence. He has also received more than 30 teaching awards at AUEB over fifteen consecutive years.
