Yuyu Chen is a Programme Analyst at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), where her work focuses on AI for inclusive and equitable development, youth participation in global governance, and socially responsible innovation. She designs and contributes to international initiatives that bring together governments, international organizations, academia, private sector actors and youth communities. Her work includes flagship platforms such as the International Forum “We, the Youth” (IFWY), engaging over 26,000 young people from more than 160 countries, and the Digital World Conference (DWC), which advances dialogue on AI governance, social development and the societal implications of emerging technologies. She also contributes to research and partnerships on AI for inclusion and equity, social and solidarity economy (SSE), and the Sustainable Development Performance Indicators (SDPI). Prior to joining UNRISD, Yuyu worked in international partnerships, communications, branding and research across Geneva and Shanghai. She holds a master’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology from the Graduate Institute Geneva, and a master’s degree in Journalism and Communication, specializing in Cultural and Creative Industry Management, from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
